Tip #1
Domain transfers are currently limited to one year for security purposes. If you'd like to transfer your domain for a longer period, first transfer your domain for one year and then after 30 days return to our site and fill out the domain renewal form. The renewal period will be added to your one year transfer.

Tip #2
You may also wish to consider registering your domain with other top-level domains (TLD). For instance if you have example.com, wouldn't it also make sense to register example.biz to prevent others from getting it first.
